Gaithersburg Book Festival, Saturday, May 17, 2014

22 Mar

“A celebration of books, writers, and literary excellence”

Come out and meet local Author Gwen Pegram and other authors at the Gaithersburg Book Festival on Saturday, May 17 from 10am – 6pm in the heart of Olde Towne Gaithersburg.

Gwen is a Featured Presenter this year. She will read from her debut novel, The Missing Five, an adult mystery fiction set in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. The tale chronicles the lives and disappearance of five middle-age, African-American men, and narrates the storytelling episodes of protagonist Jackie Trumpleton and four women she has known for twenty plus years. The women share an unusual relationship. They only interact during annual vacations where they drink champagne nonstop, share secrets, tell soul-wrenching stories, and explore sexual adventures.

The Gaithersburg Book Festival is in its fifth year. The festival has established itself as one of the DC metropolitan area’s premier literary events, featuring prominent authors, poets, and songwriters.

The festival is free to attend and offers free parking and shuttle service.

I hope to see you there.
